We have been with Him…

Filed under: Uncategorized — In the world but not of it @ 5:00 am

The people were surprised when they heard him. “How does he
know so much when he hasn’t been trained?” they asked. John 7:15

God can use anyone and He does. We are often pressured or
intimidated because we feel others may be smarter, more educated, better read
than us but those things are not conditions for spirituality.

The Lord has people He wants to reach and we are the only
ones that may ever be in a particular place where those people can be reached
regardless of any formal education we may or may not have.

Education and training are wonderful things and we should
desire to learn especially if the Lord has us in a particular field. But the
men and women God uses come in all ranges of intellect and education. This means
that God is looking more for those that desire to know Him than for those whose
IQ might be really high.

Even in the book of Acts we see a key verse that can be
overlooked.

Acts 4:13 says…The members of the council were amazed when
they saw the boldness of Peter and John, for
they could see that they were ordinary men with no special training in the
Scriptures. They also recognized them as men who had been with Jesus. (emphasis
mine).

To live our lives in such a way so that men may recognize that we have been with Jesus,
would be a great way to live. God may use some of us more than others but anything
more than living to be a vessel of honor thru which the Lord can reach others
in our lives is superficial.

Let’s glory in Him and seek to say that in everything in our
lives “It is the Lord” (John 21:7)
