Part 2; we have a purpose…

Both of them stayed there with the church for a full year,
teaching large crowds of people. Acts 11:26

God uses the stressful things in our life to expand and
stretch us beyond our comfort zones. We see how the tough times are often what
He uses to get His will done.

Barnabas went to Antioch, encouraged the believers, saw the
work going on and then went and got Paul out of Tarsus and brought him back to
Antioch. Why did he do this?

Barnabas saw the need for training. He saw that these believers
needed to know how to apply the truths practically. In other words, Barnabas
saw the immediate needs before him and addressed them.

Part of discovering our purpose involves being faithful
where we are now. It involves being diligent and honoring the Lord wherever He
has us today.

If our purpose is to become a leader in a ministry or in the
workplace, a mother, a father or a spouse then what we do now and how we do it will
determine how we arrive to that purpose.

Barnabas responded to the needs before him, so should we…
