He is the Original, not the copy…

Filed under: Uncategorized — In the world but not of it @ 5:00 am

For Christ did not enter into a holy place made with human hands, which was only a copy of the true one in heaven. He entered into heaven itself to appear now before God on our behalf. Hebrews 9:24

In the elite world of collecting rare automobiles there are people who perform a specific job to help those that are looking to invest in a car. Much like an appraiser who looks over a car and assesses its value, the ones that appraise these rare automobiles need to look for lots more.

For example, when purchasing a rare Ferrari, one of the key things to look for is whether the screws on the inside parts of the door are painted the same color as the car vs. being left in their original steel color. If the screws are their original steel color then the car more than likely had its original paint or the paint work was done by an authorized professional whose work would not significantly reduce the value.

If the screws were the same color as the car then the chances were high that part of the car was not original and that the work performed on it was second hand thus categorizing the car as a copy.

There are many other good examples in life of copies vs. originals and in the Bible we have concrete evidence that Jesus was the original. He was not a copy nor was the place He entered a copy but the original. You and I have complete assurance that we serve a God who is the one true God (Isaiah 43:10)

We can look as close as we want and see that He is the real One…
