Who is standing by you…

Filed under: Uncategorized — In the world but not of it @ 5:00 am

Then the LORD asked Moses, “Who makes a person’s mouth? Who decides whether people speak or do not speak, hear or do not hear, see or do not see? Is it not I, the LORD? Exodus 4:11

I’ve discovered that my fears and anxieties in life related to stepping out in faith, taking on a new task, or simply serving where I know I should, are often hindered because I neglect to remember Who is standing there with me.

I suppose we can understand why Moses was hesitant and even fearful. Picture yourself working in a remote area for forty years pondering what your life was like and where you thought you were called.

You have recounted the events of those times endlessly, wondering what you might have done different, unsure if you really were doing the right things…but now, years later, you believe all is forgotten and in the past. God doesn’t forget us…

One morning as you get up to start your routine and go back to another day of the same thing, God will show up in a new and wonderful way. He will come with answers to the cries of your heart. Only He knows in what form those answers will come but they will come. At that moment you will be faced with a decision.

The decision will be to either express fear and uncertainty about what the Lord has placed before you or to know, at that moment, that the time you have spent in prayer, waiting upon the Lord, has resulted in this and it is time to act.

When the Bible says, “what is impossible with man is possible with God”…Luke 18:27, it is making a statement of unfathomable depth. As you spend time today with your Lord, ask Him about this statement, ask Him to enlarge your territory, your faith, your understanding of His richness and love…

As you worship you will come to see Who is standing by you…
