Large stones…

Filed under: Uncategorized — In the world but not of it @ 5:00 am

But as they arrived, they looked up and saw that the stone, which was very large, had already been rolled aside. Mark 16:4

Just a moment before Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James and Salome were concerned about who would move the stone away from the entrance to the tomb.

They were undoubtedly surprised to see it moved.

Why did the angel move it? Have you always thought it was so Jesus could get out? Perhaps it wasn’t so Jesus could get out but rather so others could get in. Jesus is not limited by large stones.

Like everything else the Lord does it was done for His glory to allow those that would come to see for themselves and to know that this was something only God could do. It is the same in our lives also as we pray and wait upon the Lord. He is the only one that can remove the large stones, the obstacles that we are concerned about.

He does this in His own way not so much for us to get out, although He may be leading out from a situation, but more importantly so others will come in, come in to His kingdom as they observe the events in our lives, as we give God glory for them.
