Let us…

Filed under: Uncategorized — In the world but not of it @ 5:00 am

Let us cross over to the other side of the lake.” Luke 8:22

David once wrote “I can never escape from your Spirit! I can never get away from your presence! (Psalm 139:7)…

There is nowhere on earth we can go where the Lord is not with us and when He asks things of us it often begins with these two words…”Let us”…

Where are you today? Where has the Lord led you to and in what place do find yourself right now? Are you wondering if you heard His voice and whether this whole thing was really His plan?

When we have storm clouds forming and water threatens to come into the boat or is already coming in, we wonder, we question and we can be in danger of losing heart. “Let us” – this is God’s way of reminding us that He too has taken this journey. He too is right here, right now…

Each storm we face has been carefully crafted for us so that we cling to Him and learn from these trying times. There are no accidents or coincidences. If some of it seems unreasonable or harsh, if those involved or around you seem insensitive, don’t judge but pray. Ask the Lord to speak to your heart, to show you clearly in His word those promises that you need right now – there is one for your situation and He wants to give it you…

Father help me to remember this phrase “Let us” – help me to recall it each time I see the battle worsening, the storms increasing. Lord you remained calm during that storm on the lake and you know what is coming for me so why do I panic and fret. How great is my God…
