Pure words are enough…

Filed under: Uncategorized — In the world but not of it @ 5:00 am

The LORD detests evil plans, but he delights in pure words. Proverbs 15:26

Notice the contrast here between evil plans and pure words. By definition when you think of the term “plan” you associate a timeline with it but when you think “words” you think about something immediate, less complicated.

When people are scheming or constructing an evil plan it is typically a complicated matter requiring effort, thought, lots of planning and is often complicated and confusing.

But pure words speak another story. They are founded in a desire to do the right thing, the godly thing and to show integrity, truthfulness and trust.

A business colleague of mine had spent nearly two years and millions of dollars trying to merge his company with another company. This long effort was tiring and ultimately driven by the other company’s desire to manipulate the process in order to get more. In the end, the deal fell through due to the evil plans made by the other company.

This same colleague tried again to construct a similar arrangement with someone else that he had met and developed a trusting relationship with. They discussed the matter, made an agreement and finalize the entire process within 30 days.

Why? Simply because the pure words based on a desire for integrity, truthfulness and trust always result in smoother and straighter paths…always!
